About Me

My name is Sophie and I am a yoga instructor based in Sydney, Australia. I have been practicing yoga for many years and in July 2018 decided to pursue a career as a yoga teacher. My studies took me to Canggu, Bali where I completed my initial 200 hour training with Joga Yoga. On completion, I came back to Sydney where I have completed additional training with Balance Yoga Sydney.

I teach Vinyasa, Hatha, beginners, and restorative classes and have a passion for linking the spiritual roots and philosophy of yoga with physical movements.

My teaching style is aimed at creating a welcoming and nurturing place where you can grow in your practice while being pushed in your abilities. I have experience teaching all levels of students from beginners to advanced practitioners and believe with the right guidance, everyone can benefit from the practice of yoga.

I offer a range of class options based in Sydney. I work with you to tailor an option for your needs in the workplace, at your home or for an upcoming event. I also have experience running beginners courses, so please reach out whether it's your first ever yoga class or if you are an experienced practitioner. This page has some more information about the kind of classes I offer. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.

New Students

In an open class, the practice uses your breath to flow through a series of stretching postures both seated and standing. A class is usually between 45-90 minutes and starts with some warm up seated stretches before moving to standing postures, some balancing and finally back to the mat for a cool down before savassana.

You will learn simple breathing and meditation techniques to help reduce stress and reconnect with your mind and body.

Check out some frequently asked questions for more insight into the practice.
